Google Health Connect

👋 UPDATE. Google has now discontinued Google Fit (as of September 2026) and replaced it with Google Health Connect. Google Health Connect is a different app from Google Health (which has replaced the Fitbit app) and has no front-facing app. Instead, Google Health Connect must be configured via your device’s settings app. You can learn more about configuring Health Connect using the links below:

To sync data from Google Health Connect.

  1. Navigate to Bearable’s Settings page using the icon in the top left-hand corner of your home screen.
  2. Scroll down to the Customise section
  3. Tap on Sync with Health Connect
  4. Tap on each of the health metrics you’d like to sync from Health Connect e.g. Heart Rate
  5. Then select Health Connect from the options on the following screen.
  6. You’ll then see a few permissions screens. Make sure to press “Allow” for all of these.
  7. Then confirm your selections on the final screen.

IMPORTANT – When you first connect Bearable to Google Health Connect, make sure you choose the Google Account associated with your Health Connect data on the initial “Choose an account” screen i.e. the one that you are signed into Google Health Connect with, as this is where your data (e.g steps, heart rate etc.) will be pulled from.
